The Eternal Flame is an inextinguishable flame symbolizing our people’s eternal remembrance of heroes and warriors who sacrificed themselves for freedom and the honor of the Motherland.
The Eternal Flame in Atyrau, dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, is located in Victory Park – one of the largest complexes in Western Kazakhstan.
The “Eternal Flame” memorial was erected in 2000 within Victory Park. The 1-hectare alley is paved with cobblestones. In the center of the square is the Eternal Flame in the shape of a five-pointed star, cast in iron. The inextinguishable flame is a symbol of the eternal memory and spirit of the soldiers who defended the Motherland.
Outside the memorial stands a 9-meter-high spear-shaped stele made of stainless steel. On both sides of the square, there are two sculptures, one depicting a soldier’s mother, and the other depicting a grieving mother in mourning.
